Tommie "Sam" Lee Wyatt, 68, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at his home. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Sam was born August 3, 1946 in Abilene to parents, Robert and Opal Wyatt. He spent most of his career as a truck driver. He and his sister, Barbara were best friends and spent their entire lives together. One of his favorite things to do was spending time at the coffee shop drinking coffee with his friends. He loved fishing, telling big stories and jokes, he never met a stranger, and was the #1 Abilene High School fan.
He is survived by his sister and caregiver, Barbara Woolam; daughter, Trina Gotelaere; two grandsons; three granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews, who he always adored and treated as his own children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Opal Wyatt, his sister, Virginia Queen and his daughter, Samantha Wyatt.
The family would like to thank Hendrick Hospice Care and their staff for the great care and support they have received throughout this difficult time.
