Urai Brown

Urai June Brown Doy age 69 of Tye, TX left this world at 3:50 pm Wednesday, June 1 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene TX, to start her new journey.
Doy was born in Bangkok, Thailand May 6, 1942. She worked as a house cleaner for Barry Brown. In no time they fell in love and got married in Ubon, Thailand on June 15, 1972. Two short years later they moved to Tye, TX in April of 1974 where they still live today. In April 1979 Doy became a US citizen and was very proud of her accomplishment.
She loved life in general, especially to bowl she was an avid bowler on many different nights and different leagues. She also loved her garden and to cook.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and her sister. She is survived by her husband Barry Brown 3 daughters 1 son and several grandchildren and great grandchildren of Thailand.
Visitation is Friday June 3rd from 6 to 8pm at Elmwood funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South in Abilene. Funeral services are at 10am, Saturday, June 4th at Elmwood Funeral Home, followed by graveside services at Tye cemetery.
