Vicki Hurst

Vicki Crouse Hurst of Abilene passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016. She was born January 8, 1956 in Calexico, California to Doyle and Nancy Crouse.

She is survived by her three children, Cheryl Riggan of Abilene, Teresa Cartwright and her husband Jeff of Tampa, Florida, and Justin Davis of Abilene. A sister, Karen Hines of Abilene. Her "chosen" daughters, Terry Burke and her husband Tres of Abilene, Melody Boswell and her husband Daniel of Cashion, Oklahoma, and Virginia Kinney and her husband Ben of Lomita, California. Three grandchildren, Taylor, Gabrielle and Jaxon. Five chosen grandchildren, Austin, Will, Cole, Elle and Max. Two nieces, Tori Brakefield and Katrina Snyder. Her fur babies, Princess, Romeo and Macy.

Vicki worked at Townsquare Media as the Continuity Director. She loved country music, fishing and being surrounded by family and friends.

Vicki was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, and grandson Tanner.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 3pm until 5pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. The celebration of life will be held in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 26th at 11am. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory St., Abilene, TX 79601.
