Vicky Alvarez

Vicky Alvarez, 56, of Abilene passed away Saturday January 17, 2015 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday January 20 at 2 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home with Rolando Figueiras officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Vicky was born on February 20, 1958 in Abilene, TX to Angel T. Alvarez Sr. and Lily Marquez Alvarez. She enjoyed many activities, arts and crafts, fishing and fried chicken. Vicky was an absolute, die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and loved the Texas Rangers. She will be missed by many, especially her nieces and nephews who were like her children. Vicky had a big heart.

Vicky is survived by her father, Angel T. Alvarez Sr.; mother Lily Marquez Alvarez; 2 sisters, Dolores Castillo of Weatherford, SueAnn Moa of Abilene; brother Angel Alvarez Jr. of Abilene; nieces Michelle Sanchez, Melissa Trevino, Melinda (Pooh Pooh) Trevino; nephews, Gavino Trevino, Miguel Castillo, Joe Angel Alvarez; 7 great nieces; 4 great nephews; many dear family and friends.

Vicky was preceded in death by her nephew, Louie Castillo and brother in-law Adam Moa.
