Victoria Devasto

Victoria (Vickie) Jean DeVasto, 72, of Abilene, Texas died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on July 5, 2017 at Hendrick Hospice Care.

Vickie was born on March 11, 1945 in New York City. She has been a 42 year resident of Abilene.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 42 years, John P. DeVasto; her sons, Edward (Anna) Monsen of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Michael (Debbie) Monsen of Abilene, Texas, John DeVasto Jr. of New York, and Peter (Maria) DeVasto of West Virginia; and daughter Christine (Tom) Gallagher of Yonkers, New York; brother, Buddy Cote of Coconut Creek, Florida; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; as well as her pet dog, Benji.

A funeral service will be held in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, July 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1651 Pine, Abilene Texas 79601. The family wishes to extend our gratitude to Hendrick Hospice Care for their care, support and compassion during her final days.
