Virginia Cox

May 24, 1937 — May 21, 2012

After a long illness, our loving and amazing mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, Virginia Ann Bilbrey Cox left this world to be with God on May 21, 2012.

She was born May 24, 1937, in Kerrville, Texas. She lived in various cities throughout her life Abilene, San Angelo, Anson, and most recently Grand Prairie. Virginia was a member of Anson Baptist Church. Her love for her family and friends, generosity, and cooking were well known throughout her lifetime by anyone that knew her. She will be welcomed home by those that preceded her in death daughter, Laureen Veniece Click Newman, mother, Vera Olga Hartman, father, Herbert Hartman, and late husband, Charles Bilbrey.

She is survived by her husband, George Cox daughter, Vickie Osborne and husband David of Grand Prairie sons, Terry Click and wife Shirl Denise, Tony Click and wife Laura, both of Abilene Jeff Click and partner David Skertich of Grand Prairie sister, Barbara Mitchell brother, Ronnie Hartman and wife Nita, both of San Angelo.

God blessed her with 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 greatgreatgrandchild and another on the way.

Her grandsons, Chris, Aaron, and Jason Coffman, Lance, Kyle, and Kevin Click, and Johnny Newman, will carry her to her final resting place as pallbearers.

Virginia will be missed until we all meet together again on that wonderful and joyous day.

Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Elmwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Parks Garden of Ten Commandments.
