Virginia Fuller

Virginia Elizabeth Fuller, 90, died Monday, August 8, 2011. She was born in Roxton, Texas on August 17, 1920 to Reverend C. A. and Mary Long. She graduated from McMurry College in 1940 and did graduate studies at The University of Texas. She taught English in Denton Valley, Roby and Sweetwater before marrying Frank Davidson Fuller on June 30, 1945. They lived in Abilene for many years and were longtime members of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, and brothers, Bob Long and Wilson Long.

Survivors include her children, Frank Fuller, Jr. and wife Jane of Natchitoches, LA, Tom Fuller and wife Connie of Lubbock, and Mary Couch of Lubbock seven grandchildren: Jonathan Couch and wife Natalie, David Couch, Stephen Couch and wife Lisa, Mary Fuller, Sarah Couch, Becky Fuller and Beth Fuller.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10th in the Gazing Globe section of Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

The family suggests memorials to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene, or a favorite charity.
