Virginia Jackson

Virginia Bess Jackson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 18, 2015. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2015 with a funeral service following at 2:00 pm in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel 5750 Hwy. 277 South, Abilene, TX. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Virginia Bess as she was known to many was born on July 14, 1921 in Munday, TX to the late L.C. Guinn Sr. and Bessie Shaw Guinn. She grew up in Munday, TX and married Ray Jackson, a farmer, of Goree, TX. Ray proceeded her to his heavenly home on July 2, 1981. They had five children, Waylan and wife Shirley; Bob and wife Gae; David and wife Margaret; Gwen and husband Gary; Janis and husband Owen. She leaves 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, and a son-in-law Terry. Many friends and neighbors. She was loved by many and was truly a Proverbs 31 wife and mother.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the nurses and caregivers that have given her special care throughout the last few years.
