Wanda Anthony

Wanda Anthony, 79, of Abilene passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 in Abilene.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10 AM at the Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, October 14 from 2 to 4 PM.

Wanda was born on December 30, 1938 to the late Afton James and Audie Berry in Abilene, TX. She married her true love, Richard Anthony on August 20, 1954 and had 64 wonderful years together. Wanda was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ and taught Sunday School and loved working with children. She also enjoyed playing bridge and traveling with Richard.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Richard; 2 daughters, Kay Pyeatt of Abilene, Kary Anthony of Abilene; son, Richard J. Anthony and wife Marianne of Midland; 9 grandchildren, Serena Roberts, Justin Pyeatt, Nathan Pyeatt, Nicholas Benton, Shanna Rainey, Shane Fisher, Chase Fisher, Zachary Anthony and wife Ashley, Jared Anthony; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wanda was also preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Anthony.
