Wanda Daly

Wanda Daly, 72, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be Thursday, January 29, 2009 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Dr.,. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.

Wanda was born April 16, 1936 in Hope, AR. She moved to Abilene in 1967 and married Francis Daly in1970. Wanda was a devoted member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. She enjoyed life and loved spending her time doing things for her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking, she also loved to spend her time sewing for her grandchildren. Along with her love for Antiques, yard work was one of her favorite hobbies.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. Francis Daly; four children, JoAnn Moore, Regina Simmons, John Peterman and Lisa Stroope; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
