Wayne Davis

Wayne Hollis Davis, 83 years old, passed away on March 27, 2015 after a brief illness. Wayne was born March 23, 1932 to parents, William Davis and Mary Parker Davis.
Wayne grew up in Eldorado, Texas and was a graduate of Eldorado High School and Texas Tech University. He enjoyed a long career in the oil industry and was a safety instructor at Texas A&M Training Center in Abilene. He lived in Abilene 25 years. Wayne was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Davis; his parents; and two stepsons, Tim Bowers and Forrest Bowers, Jr.
He is survived by stepdaughter, Laura Henline; five grandchildren, John Henline, Devon Odell, Chance Henline, Tasia Connelly and Chase Henline; and several cousins.
He will always be remembered by his family as a loving husband and wonderful grandpa. Wayne was adored by his family and will be greatly missed by all.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 30, 2015, at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, in Abilene under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home.
