Wendell Banks

Wendell Cecil Banks, 79, of Abilene passed away Thursday, September 28, 2018 in Abilene.

Wendell was born on December 25, 1938 to Clyde and Leona Banks in Loraine, TX. After graduation from Loraine High School in 1957, he worked as a welder, truck driver and building project manager. Wendell married the love of his life, Wanda June Hill on May 5, 1959. He was active in Active in Loraine Volunteer Fire Department where he served in various positions including Chief. Pops was loved and will be missed greatly.

Wendell is survived by his wife Wanda Banks; daughter, Carla Meuth and husband Ronny; son Ricky Banks and wife Tina; daughters Sherry Banks, Veronica Banks, Debbie Banks and Barbara Hughes and husband Landon; Five grandchildren: Krissy Banks Sheldon and husband Nick, Catherine Lopez and fiance Crystal, Caitlyn Lopez and fiance Mack and Corey Banks and wife Micalah and Jaykob Emanuel and three great grandchildren; Laken, Calloway and Isla.
