William Fuqua

William Asoney Fuqua Jr., 56, passed away September 10, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. A time of visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2020 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

William was born September 1, 1964 to William and Deathra Fuqua in Bluefield, Virginia. William was in the United States Airforce for 20 plus years. He loved WWE, The Pittsburgh Steelers, a good home cooked meal, the color blue, his pit bull Patra, music and his friends. Above all William loved his family with all his heart. He was the best dad and was there for every moment with gentleness and kindness. He was very involved in his grandchildren’s lives and they thought the world of him. William was very loved and will be dearly missed.

William is survived by his parents; his wife, Maria Fuqua; children, Chandell Fuqua, Christina Fuqua, William “Trois” Fuqua III, Greg Peneyra, Chucky Cortes, John Daniel Cortes, Veronica Cortes, and Malcum Sneed; grandchildren, Marsel Cortes, Jayci Cortes, Emma Grace Valentine, Lua Valentine; fur baby, Patra; siblings, Rodney Fuqua, Curtis Fuqua, Michele Fuqua, and Michael Fuqua.
