William Higgins

William Bryan Higgins, a man of many talents and a man the world, passed away on July 30, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on November 22, 1950, in Maryland. William led a remarkable life filled with diverse experiences that shaped him into the person we all knew and admired.

William had a distinguished military career, serving in the Air Force and earning multiple accolades for his bravery and service. As a highly decorated Vietnam veteran, he received 4 written citations in his military file and was awarded the Distinguished Cross an impressive four times.

He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Neal Higgins, and his mother, Geneva Higgins. He is survived by his brothers Steven Higgins, and Neal Higgins; and sister Pamela Blythe. William's presence touched the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though William may no longer be with us, his legacy of courage, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire future generations. May he rest in peace.
