William Wells

William L. "Bill" Wells Jr., 75 of Abilene passed away on November 8, 2017 in Abilene, Texas.

He was born May 2, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas to William Lenzy Sr and Billie (Smoote) Wells. He retired from the Texas Highway Department and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He married Wanda J. Hall on November 10, 1969 in Brownwood, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda of Abilene; one brother and sister-in law, Jim and Linda Wells; two sons and daughter in-law, Jon and Debra Wells and Tim and Sharon Wells; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mike Harris; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 11th at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be held Friday, November 10th at Elmwood Funeral Home from 5- 6 p.m.
