Wright Glover

Wright Glover, 88, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 in Abilene. Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Wright was born May 5, 1925 in Abilene, TX the son of Matt and Della Hunter Glover. He graduated from Abilene High School and soon joined the United States Army. After his discharge he met and then married Lena Jo Lowrie in 1946. He retired from Master Cooperation where he was a supervisor over maintenance of equipment for several years. Wright attended Bethel Temple Christian Center, enjoyed working and staying busy, and spending time with his family.
Wright is survived by his wife, Lena Jo; four children, Linda Rutledge and husband Marvin, Karen Chaney and husband Mickey, Sheryl Lambert and husband Max, Barry Glover and wife Kim; eight grandchildren, Mark Rutledge, Donna Gillett, Jaycen Woods, Jessica Moore, Jordan Chaney, Taylor Glover, Kylee Glover, Kendall Glover; eight great grandchildren, one greatgreat grandchild; sister, Nancy Josie Tarpley; and two nephews, Bill and Matt Tarpley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Glyn Tarpley.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to, Salvation Army, 1726 Butternut St., Abilene, TX 79602
