Zeta Arnold

Zeta May Arnold, 71, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 in Abilene. Her funeral service with Ross Blasingame and Craig Churchill officiating will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, November 18th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Zeta was born on March 2, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Grand Prairie High School. She worked for Masters Manufacturing Company and the Abilene State Supported Living Center. She was a supportive military wife and lived many places over the years as she followed her husbands military career including, Maine, New Hampshire, Kansas, Louisiana, and Texas. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and volunteering, most recently with the Christian Service Center. She was a member of the South 11th and Willis Church of Christ.

Moma had unconditional love for everyone she met in life. Zeta had a pure loving heart especially for her family and would love and kiss and hug and help anyone. Her love and pure soul was one of Gods gifts we were blessed with on this earth and she will be deeply missed every day.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth Arnold of Abilene her father, Bernard Proper of Beaumont her children Glenn Wayne Arnold and wife Sharon of Abilene, Gary Lee Arnold and wife Elizabeth of Tye, Timothy Lynn Arnold and wife Bobbie of Merkel, and Kelley Arnold Wade and husband Nick of Tye her siblings, Bob Proper and wife Nancy of Arlington, Karen Beard and husband Fred of Beaumont her grandchildren,Emily, Mitchell, Kayla, and Hailey Arnold, Cristi Heinz and husband Jacob, Anthony, Sara, and Nica Wade great grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kaylee Heinz and Brayden Conn.

Her mother, May Proper and her son, Kenny Arnold preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Sams Place School for the Deaf in Kenya co S. 11th and Willis Church of Christ, 3333 South 11th, Abilene, TX 79606.
