Robert Guevara, 56, passed away Monday, October 03, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Robert was born January 9, 1966 in Abilene, Texas. He attended Abilene High School. On October 16, 2000 Robert married Juanita and the couple spent 22 blissful years together. He was currently employed for Hartmann’s Inc. Prior to that he worked 9 years for Salta and for a short time he worked for Tige Boat. In Robert’s younger years he was in several car clubs and was a Golden Glove Boxer. He loved football, especially his favorite team The Patriots. He was the life of the party always providing laughter for all. His favorite hobby was playing kickball with his grandchildren and was always the pitcher. Robert loved his family above all things and was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lupe Guevara; his biological mother, Maria Campos; three brothers, Jesse Guevara Sr., Roy Torres, and Frankie Campos; and his sister, Nelda Montez.
Robert is survived by his wife, Juanita Guevara; his children, Robert Guevara Jr. and wife Carolyn, Benjamin Guevara and wife Elizabeth, Elayna Guevara and husband Jarrod, Monica Banda and husband Kenson, Brittney Banda, and Adrieanna Banda; 19 grandchildren; three sisters, Nora Guevara, Margie Flores, Irene Montez; his mother in law, Tina Johnson; two special nieces, Vivian Ramos, and Fidella Alvarado; two special nephews, Jesse Guevara Jr., and Casey Guevara; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
